Tickets and Cinemas

In Auckland films are screening at Event Cinemas Newmarket, Academy Cinemas, and Victoria Picture Palace Devonport, and in Wellington at Angelika at Reading Cinemas Courtenay and City Gallery Wellington.

Auckland/Wellington Pricing

All films are ‘No Complimentaries’ except for festival passes. Movie money is not valid as part of this festival.

  

Opening Night Film

Includes drinks and nibbles $20.

Monday-Thursday (Anytime)

  • Adult $15.50
  • Student $13.50
  • Senior/Child $10.50

Friday-Sunday (Anytime)

  • Adult $16.50
  • Student/Film Industry $14.50
  • Senior/Child $12.50

Booking tickets online

Online ticketing is only available at Events or Reading Cinemas. To book tickets, click the [BOOK] button to the right of the session time on each film page.

Group Discount

  • 10+ tickets to the same film $14.50

To receive a group discount, tickets must be purchased at the box office (not online).

Group Child

  • 10+ tickets for school groups to the same film $10

Group Child discount only available on films screening Monday-Friday before 5pm.

Multiple Film Discount

  • 5+ tickets to any combination of films $14.50

Multiple Film Discount can only be used at the same venue and can not be combined across different venues. Tickets must be purchased at the box office (not online).

Reading Cinemas Gold Lounge Seating

Only available at Angelika at Reading Cinemas Courtenay (Wellington).

Parking buildings within easy strolling distance. The Civic is probably the closest. There is also plenty of street parking in the streets around the cinema, which is free after 6pm.

Disabled access There are disabled parking spaces outside the cinema in Lorne Street. During Library hours access is available to the cinema via the Library lift. Just ask at their reception for a security guard to bring you down and you don’t need an escort to leave after your film. Outside of Library hours we need 45 minutes notice to book a security guard to escort you via the lift, so please call us on 09 373 2761 so we can book this service for you. Library hours are 9:30am-8pm Mon-Fri, 10am-4pm Sat & 12pm-4pm Sun.

Disabled access The Victoria is the oldest purpose built cinema in the Southern Hemisphere and is a great cinema to visit. But it was built a long time before modern access codes were written and it should be noted there is no disabled access to the cinemas.

On-site parking is conveniently located within the Reading Courtenay complex. Entrance to both the undercover and outdoor car park is on Wakefield Street. Charges apply. Please phone Care Park on 04 388 9681 for more information.
