Mundo Alas is a road movie about the rites of passage. A group of new young artists go on tour through Argentina presenting their works, accompanied by the voice, talent and experience of Argentinean music legend, León Gieco. And what makes them different?
They are musicians, singers, dancers and painters, living with different disabilities.
We get to know each protagonist’s life story and growth as we follow the artists on their journey. This includes rehearsals, performances, hotels, recording the Mundo Alas soundtrack and closing the tour with a big concert at Luna Park (the biggest and most prestigious concert hall in Buenos Aires).
Along the way, stories of love and human relationships emerge and prove that integration is possible. They express and communicate their perspective of the world – their worries, their joy, their inspiration – in a show that blends music, dancing and painting. The movie features rock, folk music, tango and the songs of León Gieco.
This unique and heart-felt film is a wonderful musical experience about love and overcoming difficulties.
