Brothers. Partners. Strangers.

If you grew up in the 20th Century, you would have sung along to the Sherman Brothers’ songs without knowing who they are. The
Academy Award-winning brothers, Richard and Robert Sherman, defined family musical entertainment with unforgettable songs like “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious” and “Chim Chim Cher-ee” and from “Mary Poppins”; “I Wanna Be Like You” from “The Jungle Book”; the score to “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” and the most translated song ever written, “It’s a Small World (After All)”.

Conceived, produced and directed by the two songwriters’ sons, The Boys takes audiences behind the scenes of the Disney magic factory and offers a rare glimpse of a unique creative process at work.

The film also explores a deep and longstanding rift that has kept the brothers personally estranged throughout much of their
unparalleled professional partnership.

The film features incisive commentary from celebrities including Dick Van Dyke, Angela Lansbury, Debbie Reynolds and Disney scion Roy Disney.

Composers such as Alan Mencken and John Williams weigh in, as does Ben Stiller, who is a producer on the film. A unique and yet universal story of two brothers pursuing true passion, battling personal differences and working as a team to, ultimately, walk with giants.
