Antonio Tenorio is a B1. This means that he’s totally blind.
Handicap has not stopped him from becoming Brazil’s most well-known and celebrated judoka. The red circle on his judo kimono symbolizes the level of his blindness.
Filmed in Brazil, France and at the paralympics in China, B1 is an international journey through the perspective of a blind judoka, one of the few in the world to compete both in Paralympic and regular championships. We are taken into his world as we discover the man behind the high-performance athlete, his training and his philosophy of life.
Directors Braga and Moura follow this professional judo player as he prepares to compete at the Paralympics in Beijing – he wants his fourth gold medal.
